Facing error in ECC 6.0  to ECC6.0 EHP 7 upgrade configuration phase -  DBSL Version mismatch

below is the error message showing in SUM tool

ERROR:The new SAP tools in /usr/sap/<SID>/SUM/SUM/abap/exe cannot connect to your database.

FYI - SSFS configured already and not using the  ops$mechanism.

when i check the R3trans -d  in usr/sap/SID/SUM/abap/exe it shows the below message.

and DBSL shared library (721.02)

2EETW169 no connect possible: "maybe someone set invalid values for DIR_LIBRARY ('/usr/sa

p/SID/SYS/exe/run') or dbms_type ('ORA')"

i have updated primary instance dboraslib.so to latest patch of 721 in exe/run/ but still getting error in SUM tool,

i cant upgrde my kernel to 742 in primary instance since its old release ECC6 NW700.

Please let me know if someone came across the same issue.

After go Live our company realized that some of most configuration has directly places in PRD server. so the issue have we don't have an updated QAS server, is there any possibilities that we can go back a transport (PRD->QAS)???

we have installed IDES ECC 6.0 and when trying to create items in transaction ME21N, then I get a short dump, with the following message:

"Support package level not sufficient. See note 1600482."

In this note, it is stated that "These changes are already included in Business Suite 2011 and in SP26 of the SAP AP 7.00 software component." and as I checked in transaction SPAM we have SP26, AP 7.00.

Can you please tell me how to overcome this issue? What exactly should be done? In note 1600482 there are no clear actions mentioned as solution.

As Client business requirement, While sales order creation, If particular line item Material- [ item category type 'TAN' ] is not available on request delivery date at unrestricted stock then system automatically convert to third party item category 'TAS' and create Purchase requisition.

If partial qty is available at unrestricted stock then rest of the balance qty change to TAS from TAN

Example

1. Line item 10 --> order quantity 50 no’s and available qty is zero in unrestricted stock then entire 50 qty has to convert to third party order automatically.
2. Line item 20--> order quantity 30 no’s and available qty is 12 in unrestricted stock then only 18 no’s qty has to convert to third party order by automatically.

I am requesting you to kindly give the suggestion, As per my knowledge I ave checked that there is no option of SAP standard configuration setting, most possible solution is User Exit.

So Please guide me is there any User exit is available or is there any option for standard configuration setting.

We are in downtime phase, and stuck with kernel switch issue.

With below error, i tried to delete/rename the file but its prompting "the action cannot be completed because the file is open in system"

Hi,

We have started the upgrade of BW 7.0 to 7.31 by using nZDM approach to reduce the downtime window.

We have reached to the end of phase Pre-processing where it is showing me the nZDM replication is active and its 95% completed and so I can start the downtime now.

As my downtime windows is going to start 3 days from the time of phase it has reached of replication stating 95% completed. Its already 24 Hours passed and when I am checking the status still it is showing 95% and also when I check in CRR tcode in Shadow instance I can't see any table in process there.

Is it normal it takes so long or is this is a bug where it shows till 95% only ??

Or I should wait for sometime more for getting it complete.

I am bit confuse with this state, Also when I am checking the logs on OS level of SUM the logs of replication is getting updated continuously. Also I am worried if this is something zombie it should not full my file system where the SUM logs are getting generated till the time of downtime window.

Can you somebody put some lights on this to clear my doubts please.

Dear All,

I have a current system running on Windows 2003, Mssql 2000 and R3 4.7. We are going to upgrade our current setup to ECC6 EHP7 with MSSQL2012.

Our new server comes with Windows 2012 R2. We are aware that Mssql 2000 or Mssql 2005 is not supported in Windows 2012 R2. Therefore we are going to get temporary server (with Windows 2003) to upgrade. Below is the plan:

1. Prepare a temporary server with same OS level as current setup (Windows 2003).

5. Upgrade MSSQL 2012

6. Install ECC 6.0 EHP7 on new server

7. System Copy from temporary server to new server.

Please advice if the upgrade 4.7 to ECC6 EHP7 in Windows 2003 is possible. Also upgrade MSSQL2005 to MSSQL2012 in Windows 2003 is possible.

I have searched in all the relevant site but could not get conclusive answer such as PAM, Notes,etc.

When trying to activate Utilities in transaction sfw5:

I got following:

System is SAP ERP 6 EHP6, and it is upgraded to latest SPS.

I am not sure how to perform required actions.

In transaction SAINT stack file is required. I am not sure how to generate stack file for this particular case. I have used Maintenance optimizer for generating stack files for SPS upgrade, but I am not sure how to use it now.

How can I generate stack file using Maintenance optimizer for this particular case?

I have completed preprocessing phase on SCM 7.0 EHP3 upgrade(nZDM) in production system and now there are 5 more days to go for execution phase ( downtime).. since the system is in running status to the users in between and shadow instance has been created now..what should do I have monitor in the system daily before to go for the execution phase

We are going to perform EHP7 upgrade from EHP6 in our ECC system. I have done following things.

1.stack xml generation.

2. software downloads

3.Latest kernel,R3trans and all latest spam/saint

4. latest SUM

I have gone through the guides.

Other pre-requisties should be like.

1. Take full backup of database

2. FS backups

3.Setting heap memory parameters.

Kindly let me know , if I am missing anything in the pre-requisties.
