Would like to understand if anyone has done any analysis on this, pros/cons, known issues, considerations whether you opted with EHP7 NW7.4 instead?

I am wondering if anybody possibly has any experience of the following:-
We are looking to perform an update in a sandbox environment only
From
ERP 6 EHP 4
on
Solaris 10 Update 9
To
ERP 6 EHP 7
on
Solaris 10 Update 9
However the PAM indicates that ERP 6.0 EHP 7 is only supported on Solaris 10 Update 10 or higher (EHP 7 is underpinned by Netweaver 7.4 which requires Solaris 10 Update 10 or higher).
Unfortunately our unix team does not yet have a "gold build" available for Solaris 10 Update 10 and our customer would like a sandbox version of ERP 6.0 EHP 7 ASAP.
So, if possible, we would like to upgrade our sandbox to EHP 7 now and then upgrade the o/s on the sandbox to Solaris 10 Update 10 in 2-3 months time.
So, my questions is,
Has anybody tried performing an update to EHP 7 on Solaris 10 Update 9?

someone can give me some hint regarding version interoperability between EHP8 and systems like BI 740 content server 650 etc etc?
The upgrade dependency analyzer it's showing info only till EHP7.
the supporting notes give the detailes that release 731 are supported but to check via UDA.
Someone can unlight me?

In my ERP 6.0 EHP 5 SAP system I performed SP stack 13-14 upgrade.
Before upgrade the dialog resp. time was below 500 always.
But after SP stack upgrade the dialog resp.time has grown very high.
I have done SPS upgrade in both my DVL and QAS systems.
The high dialog resp. time is observed in both the systems.
My SAP Kernel level is 7.21 EXT UC PL 600.
The network and DB everything is fine. Also there is not any complaint from user about system slowness.
There has been changes in calculation of response time in different kernel versions is it the same case in our scenario.
Is the calculation method is changed because of which I am getting high number of resp time.
Please suggest me any relevant note or article for my problem.

I am dooing an migration/upgrade from ERP 5.0 on AIX Oracle to ERP 6.0 EHP 6 on Windows.
I did the migration from AIX Oralce to Windows 2003 MSSQL 2005 and now I need to upgrade to ERP 6.0 EHP 6.
SUM says that the OS (2003) and DB (2005) is not supported so my question is, how do I continue as ERP 5.0 is only supported on Windows 2003 MSSQL 2005.
Can I make a system copy (database backup/restore) to Windows 2008 MSSQL 2008 and with what tool.
What is the path?

We are now planning the upgrade from the ECC 6.0 EnhP 4 for HCM version to the newest ECC 6.0 EnhP 7 for HCM / HR Renewal 2.0.
As soon as our Development (DEV) environment is upgraded, we will put in place a backup of DEV (DEB) in order to support potential incidents in Productioin that cannot wait the Upgrade timelines.
If this happens, the process would be:
- Implement the fix in DEB and deploy the fix to the next system in same version.
- Reproduce the fix in DEV and deploy the fix to the latest system upgraded.
In practice this means a dual maintenance that increase significantly the cost during the upgrade period.
Having said the above, would you be so nice to support me in questions below:
I've trying to find a "Best practices" document in SAP site with strategies supported by SAP during this Upgrade periods, but did not find anything.

Hi All,
After I moved the DEV enviroment to other server in different network topology, the process of releasing transport request is taking long time to Quality enviroment.
In the SE09, after that I release child request, the parent request stay on "In process: Requires update" status for long time. The average time for a transport is 35 minutes to Quality enviroment.
The network traffic between the two servers is good. What could I do in SAP to improve performance?

Target system: Windows2012/Sql2014 [ERP6.0 EHP7]
We trying to perform the DB [Oracle => SQL DB] conversion first and plan to upgrade from EHP3 to EHP as below.
Could you please confirm the below two steps are feasible?
Step1 => OS/DB migration [EHP3] to SQL 2014/Win2012 [EHP3]
Step2 =>Upgrade from EHP 3 to EHP8
Kindly let us know if there is any alterrnate best approach?

I am using Max DB and SAP ERP 6 ehp 6. My Kernel release is 7.20. While downloading the Kernel from smp, I got 1 db independent and 8 db dependent files. as DB2, BD4, ORA, ..... Please let me know that which folder i has to be consider as database dependent file for MAX db.
